3 sheets clear transfer film – for transferring the prepared masks to the model
This masking set recreates the complex “Aztec” and secondary panelling patterns seen on the original filming miniature as it was seen in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan”. Some concessions and compromises have had to be made to allow for the smaller size and many inaccuracies of the AMT kit. These inaccuracies make it impossible to accurately replicate the complete pattern without extensive corrections being made to the stock kit, but a VERY close recreation can be achieved with this mask set using the stock kit. These masks have been designed for ease of use, but a paint scheme of this complexity is not recommended for beginners. If this is your first time using paint mask set, I recommend gaining some experience with a few simpler projects first. Of course, these masks can be easily adjusted and altered to fit any corrections and modifications made to the stock kit by those who wish to achieve an exact replica of the pattern.
